Residence on Menorca as the relative of an EU citizen

If you are a non-EU national and a close relative of an EU citizen who lives on Menorca, there is a residence route made for you. It is the "Tarjeta de familiar de ciudadano de la Unión" — a five-year residence card that keeps the family together on the island.

Who can apply

  • A husband, wife or registered partner of the EU citizen
  • Their children below 21, and older children still in their care
  • Parents, or a partner's parents, who depend on them for support

The documents

You will need proof of the family relationship, the EU citizen's own registration, a shared address on Menorca and health cover. We gather the file and submit it on your behalf.
