Who is asked to hold a TIE
Any non-EU national staying in Spain longer than six months — to work, to study, to join family or to live on passive means — must obtain a TIE once their visa or residence authorisation has been approved.
The fingerprint appointment
You book a "toma de huellas" slot, attend in person with your photos, your EX-17 form and the paid fee, give your fingerprints, and collect the finished card a few weeks afterwards. On Menorca that booking is the slow part, and the one we manage for you.
In Menorca
Most the tie residence card requests across the Balearic Islands pass through the Menorca office. We know exactly what they ask for — and we accompany you, whether you live in central Menorca or out in Ferreries.
Frequently asked questions
The card is valid for the same period as your residence permit — generally one to five years — and you must renew it before that date passes.
