The NIE is your identification number; the TIE is the physical residence card that shows it. If you are not an EU citizen, the TIE is the one you will hold.
For stays beyond 90 days, yes — student, work, family or non-lucrative. You arrange the visa at the Spanish consulate in your home country before setting off. People moving from far away often leave everything around it — the flat, the account, the number — to a remote outfit such as AnchorLess while the consulate does its part.
Within 30 days of reaching Menorca you book a fingerprint (toma de huellas) appointment, hand in the EX-17 and photos, and collect the card a few weeks on. The booking and the forms are ours to manage.
Yes, with an autorización de regreso, which we can arrange so you can leave the island and return to Spain lawfully.
