Getting your NUSS, the Spanish social security number, on Menorca

Before anyone can hire you, or before you can register as self-employed on Menorca, you need a Spanish social security number — the Número de Seguridad Social, or NUSS. It is the thread that connects you to the public system for healthcare and pensions.

Who needs one

Anyone starting a job, registering as an autónomo, or needing access to public healthcare contributions on Menorca. An island employer will often ask for it before your first day.

How we lend a hand

We fill in the TA.1 form, arrange the appointment with the Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social, and bring back your NUSS, usually within a few days.

In Menorca

Most social security number requests across the Balearic Islands pass through the Menorca office. We know exactly what they ask for — and we accompany you, whether you live in central Menorca or out in Es Castell.
